Cost Of Ownership Comparison Between A Mains-fed And Bottled H2o Dispenser

While there shall still be some situations where a Bottled H2o Dispenser is moral e. where there is no access to mains water, or in a Portacabin where glass pipes should freeze and split during the winter there is little justification. Just to emphasise the point, here is a simple price comparison between the 3 different types. Obviously the following price comparison is based on prices at time of writing, but I trust the conclusion speaks for it's self. The numbers are typical business averages and arent based on any specific model or manufacturer.

Lets use the example of an office with 20 employees:. Each H2o Dispenser shall deliver 20 employees. Bottled h2o is supplied in 19 litre containers. 10 employees consume approximately two bottle per week. Rental and sanitisation price of a typical bottled H2o Dispenser - 84.

Number of 19 litre bottles per week based on 10 employees per bottle - 2. Typical price of bottle - 5. Cost per litre of h2o on metered supply - 0. Premises on a h2o Meter worst case scenario. Bottled H2o Dispenser Cost.

Total Price for h2o supplied in bottles in a year = 5. Total Price for H2o Dispenser and h2o in First Year = 84 + 57 2= 656. Total Price for H2o Dispenser and h2o over 3 Years = 1968. Mains-Fed H2o Dispenser costs:. Installation Price FREE.

Annual rental and maintenance price - 312. Cost of h2o from metered supply = 0. 001 x 2,000 litres = 2. Total price for Mains-Fed H2o Dispenser in First Year - 314. Total Price for Mains-Fed H2o Dispenser over 3 Year - 942.

Now compare the 3 sets of figures within the Table below: Bottled H2o Dispenser Mains Fed Dispenser. Total Price for First Year:. Bottled H2o Dispenser = 656. Mains Fed Dispenser = 314. Total Price for 3 Years:.

Bottled H2o Dispenser - 1,968. Mains Fed Dispenser = 942. As you can see, in a 3 year period, the price advantage of Mains-Fed H2o Dispensers is enormous! N. This doesnt with the environmental costs of transporting and eventually disposing of over 250 glass bottles!.
