Recently, we visited one such PET bottle PET recycling mechanical system plant at Boralesgamuwa.

According to Jasenthuliyana, they get around 20-30 tons of bottles per month through scavengers who collect these bottles from garbage dumps within the Colombo City. When the bottles reach the PET recycling mechanical system plant, they can be sorted out. "We get only PET bottles, so, we do not should worry related to the kind of plastic. We just sort the bottles regarding to their colours", spoke about Jasenthuliyana. "The darker the bottle, the decreased its selling price. When reusing these bottles, manufacturers can use any colour for the clean bottles, whereas for the shaded bottles, there is not many of an option; they can neither use the similar to colour or leave for black," he explained.
